We are one church with seven locations in the Chicago area.
Just like a physical orchard, we’re all about roots, life and fruit at The Orchard.
We dig our ROOTS deep into the Word of Christ in our worship services. We find LIFE in Jesus Christ and share that life together in LIFE Groups. We bear FRUIT for Christ through praying, giving, serving and inviting.
At Arlington Heights, you’ll find that the Bible is at the center of all we do. We believe Jesus is worth following and want you to find joy in following Him too.
We exist to glorify God by multiplying God-centered, Christ-exalting, world-transforming believers through the Gospel in the greater Chicago area and around the world.

Leader Bio:
Pastor Colin Smith was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. He trained at London School of Theology, where he met his wife, Karen. He served as pastor of Enfield Evangelical Free Church in London for 16 years before coming to The Orchard in 1996. As Senior Pastor, he has brought a strong emphasis on God's Word, has helped the church develop a vision for the future and has encouraged and taught young preachers. Colin and Karen have two sons, Andrew and David.

The Orchard Arlington Heights Service Times
Worship Services at Arlington Heights
In order to limit the capacity of our worship services to allow for social distancing, we’re going to ask that you save your seat for the service of your choice. We anticipate that many of our services will fill up, so it’s important that you register as soon as you’re able. Registration will be available Wednesday, October 28 in the afternoon.
We’ll add services as needed to make sure we accommodate everyone who wants to attend a worship service in person.
We will provide Orchard Kids programming at 9:30 and 11 a.m. for infants to 5th grade. Register your child by Friday at 12 p.m. when you save your seat for church! For more information about what it will be like, please read this info. If you're unable to register your children, then registration is full.

Awana, our mid-week program, is a ministry committed to reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Awana clubs are a place where children 3-years-old to 5th grade can play games, memorize Bible verses and learn Bible lessons. We meet during the school year. Our four clubs are:
Cubbies (3 & 4-year-olds)
Sparks (kindergarten to 2nd grade)
T&T Girls (3rd to 5th grade girls)
T&T Boys (3rd to 5th grade boys)
Given these unprecedented times, we are offering a second option of Awana this year called "Awana at Home."

The Orchard Arlington Heights History
We've been gathering together on Sundays for over 60 years. Started in 1953 with 43 people meeting in the auditorium of North School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, we’ve expanded to more than 3,000 people in six locations in the Chicago area.
A few years ago, in October 2015, we saw the urgent need for more churches here and in the Balkan region of Europe to thrive and set to making that a reality through our Thrive Campaign. Since that time we renovated our Arlington Heights congregation, opened our Northfield and Chicago congregations, are about to open our Vernon Hills congregation and sent Kujtim and Lauren Rushiti to Albania to help plant Durres Evangelical Church. The Thrive Campaign ends December 31, 2020.
