Who we are
Urbana Nazarene is a community of Jesus followers who are passionate about prayer, discipleship and connecting with the community.
Agreed Statement of Belief
These are the beliefs Nazarenes hold to be true:
We believe in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

Covid-19 update
Church Status: In Person and Online Services Sunday at 10am.
As cases in Ohio pick up. Our leadership has devised a simple plan to help guide our church.
It is a two step process:
1. If we have a positive Covid-19 case at Urbana Nazarene. We will contact everyone that could have been exposed and ask them to stay home for two weeks from church.
2. If we have two or more cases around the same time, from different families, we will change over to all online church for a minimum of 2 weeks.
Know that we will be following the mandates given out by our Governor. This means that we ask you to please wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
We are doing our best to be open and available for you during this time. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping everyone safe!
It's been more than 3 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

Urbana Church of the Nazarene History
Inspire my thoughts
Holy Spirit of God, visit now this soul of mine, and tarry within it until the eventide. Inspire all my thoughts. Pervade all my imaginations. Suggest all my decisions. Lodge in my soul's most inward citadel, and order all my doings. Be with me in silence and in my speech, in my haste and in my leisure, in company and in solitude, in the freshness of the morning and the weariness of the evening. Give me grace at all times to rejoice in Thy mysterious companionship.
