Wayside United Church of Christ is a joyful, God-centered community of faith, each of us in the process of our own spiritual journey. We value, celebrate and affirm: diversity, caring, humility and acceptance.

Wayside United Church of Christ (UCC) has served the Federal Way and Northeast Tacoma areas since 1959 and we continue to listen to a still-speaking God. We are a community of faith that seeks to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. A relatively small congregation, Wayside and its members and friends still strive to be faithful stewards to Federal Way and the surrounding area with our time, talent, and financial and other resources.

Leader Bio:

Rev. Brigitta Remole began serving as Wayside’s interim minister this past April. She has most recently served as Senior Pastor at Plymouth Church in Seattle, and has been ordained for 28 years.

Rev. Brigitta is in Wayside’s office Mondays 1:00 – 4:00, and Tuesdays through Thursdays 9:30-12:00. She is also available to visit at your home, at work or to grab a cup of tea.

Wayside United Church of Christ Service Times

Worship with us on Sundays at 10:00 am.

Wayside people come from a variety of faith traditions. The Service of Worship includes traditional elements, while being flexible enough to encourage creative expressions of faith. We are a community that enjoys being together but we welcome newcomers to share and to add to the conversation.

For any given service, music may be traditional church tunes with inclusive lyrics; children’s music; music from a variety of cultures and faith traditions; vocal music performed by our choir or soloists; sacred music performed on piano, flute, piccolo, viola or a visiting bell choir. Our Choir gifts us with their musical talents September through June during the 10:00 am service.

A reading from a translation of the Holy Bible is always central to our Worship Service. Most of our people do not take the Bible literally – but we all take the Bible seriously.
