World Mission Society Church of God is serving the Tacoma community and engaging and encouraging others through a life-changing journey in Tacoma, Washington.

Question: What activities does the Church of God carry out for family happiness?

Answer: It is said that a home is the kingdom of the father, the world of the mother, and the paradise of the children. A home is a basic unit of happiness and it forms society.

That’s why the Church of God preaches the teachings of the Bible that family members should respect each other, be considerate, and live in harmony.

For the members to practice God’s love from their homes, the Church of God publishes the monthly magazine Happy Home and holds global seminars on happy families, family invitation days, family appreciation days, and so on, to provide opportunities for understanding and communication.

The Church also holds “Our Mother” Writings and Photo Exhibition and “Father’s True Heart” Exhibition to remind citizens of family warmth and love.

Question: Does the Church of God believe in Jesus?

Answer: The Church of God faithfully believes in Jesus and reveres Him. The Church puts God’s teachings into practice and preaches the way of salvation. The crucifixion of Jesus was God’s sacrifice to give mankind the forgiveness of sins without cost.

If there had been no atoning sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ, mankind would have been doomed to die forever in eternal torment and destruction. The world without Jesus is the world of despair and pain.

Jesus came to the earth to give us the light of salvation and the hope for eternal life. The Church of God believes in Jesus and loves Him. It spreads His love and sacrifice for mankind. It believes and loves Jesus’ new name as well as the name of Jesus (Rev 3:12).

Question: Does the Church of God believe the Bible?

Answer: Whoever believes in God must believe the Bible which is the words of God. The Bible is the holy words of infallible God written by the prophets who were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Ti 3:16–17; 2 Pe 1:20–21).

It contains God’s will to save mankind from sin, God’s love for mankind, God’s message of salvation and the kingdom of heaven, and God’s teachings about the soul.

Through the Bible, God who sees the end of the age from the beginning guides us to the right path to the kingdom of heaven, our spiritual home.

How can we not believe the Bible, the words of great God?

Question: What is heresy from the perspective of the Church of God?

Answer: According to the Bible, heretics are people who claim to believe in God but do not keep God’s commands, being tempted by man-made rules and theories (2 Pe 2:1–3).

Whether a belief is heresy or not can be determined by whether it is following the commands of Jesus Christ.

In the days of the early Church, too, there was a warning against heresies (Tit 3:10). Since then, paganism entered the church and settled down as if it were authentic Christian services. In the process, theories and creeds against the Bible took the form of Christian doctrines and have been observed up until now.

In this sense, the Bible points out that today’s churches that do not keep God’s commandments while claiming to believe in God are following heresies.

The Church of God is the only true church that obeys God’s commandments and holds to the testimony of Jesus (Rev 14:12).

Question: What education does the Church of God provide for teenagers?

Answer: Teenagers and children are the protagonists who will create a bright future. The Church of God helps them build an upright character, warmheartedness, and extensive knowledge, and learn courtesy, filial piety, and virtue so that they can fulfill their dreams.

Representative activities are the Bible education during summer and winter student camps, special lectures on character by notable speakers, orchestra concerts for teenagers, scholarships, field trips, volunteer services, and publication of the monthly magazine Soul. Teenagers, parents, and teachers participate together in these programs, making a time of communication and harmony.

Question: What activities does the Church of God do for communities and humanity?

Answer: God loves mankind. The Church of God conducts the missionary work to make known to the world the news of God’s salvation.

The Church also performs activities to build a happy future for mankind beyond national, racial, and cultural boundaries: diverse relief efforts, realization of equality, educational promotion, environmental preservation, and harmony of humanity. When disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, and floods occur, the Church carries out humanitarian relief and recovery efforts and practices neighborly love.

The Church of God has formed partnerships with international organizations and governments to implement the SDGs for the peace and happiness of mankind.

Question: Why does the Church of God carry out many volunteer services?

Answer: Volunteering is a duty of Christians. The Bible teaches that believers in God should take on the roles of the salt and light of the world and love their neighbors (Mt 5:13–16; 22:39).

The Church of God carries out diverse volunteer services, including environmental cleanups and donations for underprivileged neighbors around the world. The reason is that all people are the global family members.

The parable of the Good Samaritan in the Bible is a good lesson about neighborly love. After telling the parable, Jesus said, “Do likewise.” In obedience to the teaching of God, the Church of God is carrying out volunteer services around the world.

Question: What activities does the Church of God do to reduce discrimination and conflicts in the world?

Answer: Discrimination comes from the mind of exalting oneself and lowering others. God teaches that mankind should serve and love one another.

The fairest love in the world must be a mother’s love. The Church of God helps the world communicate and harmonize without discrimination against nations, races, ethnicities, genders, and cultures with the love of Mother who regards mankind as a family.

Cultural exchange through events for multicultural families or for international students, and overseas cultural experience teams, and campaigns for ending discrimination are also part of the efforts. If all people have the heart of Mother, discrimination will vanish and the world will be in peace.

Question: The Church of God is a global church. How do the members from different backgrounds unite?

Answer: The Church of God members have different skin colors, languages, and cultures, but they belong to the same heavenly family in the love of God the Father and God the Mother.

Conferences for the pastoral staff, activities for gospel invigoration, international cooperation, and community services, events including global Bible seminars, and campaigns such as “Sorry and Thank You” become the foundation for the unity of the heavenly family members.

The Church of God is united under the goal of delivering eternal happiness to mankind.

Question: What are the good things about going to the Church of God?

Answer: The Church of God, established and being raised by God, is the nest of love, where you can listen to sermons based on the Bible, keep worship service holy and godly, serve one another with humility and consideration, and carry out volunteer services.

In the Church of God, you can receive eternal life and happiness through the love and grace of holy God. You can realize the origin of human life and gain confidence in salvation.

Learning correct teachings of God, you can live a good life in your families, schools, and communities that your family will be happy and you will change the world into a peaceful place.
