Leader Bio:
Pastor Marc Scarborough was born in Los Angeles, CA, to parents Clarence “Skip’ Scarborough and Norma Scarborough. He attended school in the Los Angeles area, graduating from Palos Verdes High School in 1986. From a young age, Pastor Marc knew that he was destined to preach the gospel, often preaching to kids on the playground and in grade school. He attended Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles as a young man.
After high school, he decided to follow in his Grammy Award-winning father’s footsteps and go into the music business. He found success there, working with artists such as Howard Hewitt, Nancy Wilson, Rose Royce, Chaka Kahn, Earth Wind and Fire, Gerald Albright, Will Downing, and Jonathan Butler, to name a few. But God was calling Pastor Marc to a higher calling. He began attending Zoe Christian Fellowship of Los Angeles in 1990 after being invited by the parents of a childhood friend.
There he sat under the teaching of Bishop Frank Stewart for five years before he was led to participate in ministry. Pastor Marc served in various capacities of ministry, serving faithfully for many years. He became best known for leading the music ministry at Zoe of Los Angeles. He met his wife, then Tanya Bolds, in 1992. After a nice courtship, they married in 1998 and knew they were called to ministry together, starting their relationship by feeding the homeless in the Pasadena area.
As Pastor Marc grew in the things of God, he also grew to understand that he was called by God to be a Pastor. He became a Chaplain for Hoffmann Hospice in Palmdale, CA, and made a decision to also go into seminary, earning his degree in pastoral theology for the International College of Bible Theology. He also assisted pastors in the Antelope Valley area, including Total Deliverance C.O.G.I.C, Greater Harvest Fellowship, and the Mojave Assembly of God as Associate Pastor and worship leader.
He and his wife Tanya also organized and led a Bible study in the Antelope Valley area successfully for over four years. Pastor Marc soon after became the Director of Spiritual Care for Procare Hospice and Traditions Health Hospice, supervising and training other Chaplains, performing community service, and facilitating grief support groups.
In 2011 Bishop Frank Stewart, Pastor of Zoe Christian Fellowship of Los Angeles, asked Marc Scarborough and his family to return to Zoe of LA to assist in the ministry. At Zoe of LA, Pastor Marc Scarborough assisted the musicians by playing the keyboards. After four years, he became the Minister of Music and was later set apart as an Elder. Bishop Stewart made him Assistant
Pastor in 2016. For more than six years, while at Zoe of L.A., Pastor Marc became a missionary to the Philippines, assisting with medical missions as an evangelism leader and counselor.
Pastor Marc has a passion for souls and is excited to see people come to Jesus. He is also excited to see communities transformed for Christ. He believes that the Word of God can transform hearts and minds and impact our world for Jesus Christ.
On June 25, 2021, Bishop Frank Stewart installed him as Senior Pastor of Zoe Christian Fellowship of Los Angeles. Â

Open our ears to hear
Blessed Lord, open our ears to hear what Thou speakest and our eyes to see as Thou seest. Give us hearts to beat in sympathy with Thine at the sight of every little child; and above all, our Lord, to understand and experience how surely and how blessedly Thou fulfilest Thy promise, "Whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me."
