Our Vision (The City Of Hope)
We believe that God has uniquely called this church to present the Gospel in an uncomplicated and common sense way. Under the vision and leadership of Pastor Eddie Rodriguez, we want A Place of Hope to truly be a church passionately committed to Christ, His Cause, and His Community.
With this passion and zeal for the lost and hurting world, we aim to take a different approach in reaching out and helping people along the journey. We stress cultural relevancy and utilize all Medias and means to communicate the gospel message. God has embedded in our Pastors heart to build “The City of Hope” where we will be able to reach many and provide hope according to their needs.
A Place of Hope was started in August 2005 with 11 people who met in a home in Wellington. Pastor Eddie and Martha Rodriguez accepted the challenge by taking leadership realizing that it was a unique opportunity to love, serve, and minister to broken families, and people who had a wide array of issues and situations that required special attention. Through the power of the Gospel, constant prayer, and the grace of God, the church has expanded and has taken on more challenges to meet the needs of a tough mission field.
God has brought from a handful of members a Church that has reached-out to the cross-cultural melting pot of West Palm Beach. It is comprised of men, women, and children of all ethnic and national origins. However, central to the growth and expansion of the Church has been the continually emphasize on prayer and members of the Church devoted to boldly “calling on the Lord” for needs from around the world. Currently, through the work of over twenty ministries, the needs of the Church body and the community are met.
Our church verse: – Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, “says the Lord”, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and HOPE!
