Who we are
Bible Baptist Church is located on the corner of 11th and E. Maple in Enid. In fact, we have been located in the same neighborhood for nearly our entire history. Although our church isn’t situated on a major intersection, it is easy to find with our steeple nearly 90 feet in the sky. We hope you join the many guests and members that drive from all over the Northwest Oklahoma region to enjoy our old-fashion church services.
Bible Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church. This means that are not affiliated with, or under the authority of, any denominational organization. We use the Bible as our sole and final authority for all of our decisions regarding belief and practice. We are a Baptist Church that is fundamental in our doctrine and independent in our authority.
The mission of Bible Baptist Church is to honor God and reach Enid and the world for the cause of Christ. It is our desire to serve God in our Bible based Sunday School classes, Sunday worship services and Wednesday evening services. We try to help our community and our world by our many outreach ministries and mission efforts around the world.
Our first service is Sunday morning, which includes Sunday School classes for all ages that begin at 10:00 a.m. Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:50 a.m. Our Sunday evening service begins at 6:00 p.m., and our mid-week service is Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. We offer H.O.P.E. Thursday evenings at 6:30.
We are thrilled to have guests visit us in every service. As soon as you walk through the doors, you will find what so many people love about Bible Baptist Church, a heart-felt friendly and family oriented atmosphere. We like to give each visitor an information packet that describes what our church is and is about. During the services themselves, you can enjoy good old fashion hymns and a message given by our Pastor, using the King James Version Bible. People usually ask, “What should I wear when visiting?” We encourage you to come "as you are".
You will find people from all walks of life and backgrounds, who feel very much at home at Bible Baptist Church.

Bible Baptist Church History
A vision for the lost in the Enid area was seen by Rev. Wayne Imboden, who was sent out by his church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma in 1939. With the leadership of God, a mission work was started in a small room in Convention Hall in Enid. The work was moved to Carrier and then to Banner Hall by Chisholm High School. The Church was established on April 7,1939, and given the name Bible Baptist Church. A piece of land just west of Highway 81 on Phillips Road was donated and a building was erected. In 1941 the building was relocated to the corner of 11th and East Maple. The Church then called Rev. Scotty Alexander as Pastor in 1943. Bible Baptist Church grew during Rev. Alexander's ministry from the small white framed building to a blonde brick sanctuary. In 1947, with a heart and a love for missions, the Bus Ministry of Bible Baptist Church was started, reaching children and families for the Lord. The bus ministry of Bible Baptist Church, under the direction of Dr. T. A. Chick flourished, with as many as 300-375 children and adults riding the buses to church. Dr. Chick had a great love for the bus ministry and would often recount his own childhood stories of riding the bus to Bible Baptist Church. The bus ministry is still a very special part of the church's ministry today. Thousands of lives have been changed all over the world because of Dr. Chick and Bible Baptist Church's great heart and love for missions during his 48 year ministry at Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Terry Chick is currently serving as the fourth Pastor in the nearly 80 year history of the Church. The message of the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ has not changed. The vision and love for the families of the City of Enid, as well as the discipling of God's children, which started nearly 80 years ago, is still the vision of Bible Baptist Church has today! Rev. Chick is continuing a work that is still growing today. His love and compassion for the church and the lost is unparalleled to and his excitement is what sets him apart from other preachers in the world today. He isn't afraid to tell you he loves you and give you a big hug as he leads God's people forward to achieve greater expectations than ever before.
