Calvin Presbyterian Church History
The congregation was officially established on March 29, 1948 and met on Sunday afternoons from 2 – 4 pm at the First Baptist Church. The cornerstone for the Hungarian Presbyterian Church was laid in 1950, with a permanent structure opening on July 22, 1951. It was designed similar in style to the churches they had attended in Hungary and Romania. In 1961, the name of the church was changed to Calvin Presbyterian Church.
Hungarian and English services are held regularly to this day.
