Who we are
We are a community that believes the good news of Jesus Christ. We live our lives in response to God’s call to love the world, seek the good of the city, and embody His grace, mercy, and peace.
If you’re visiting for the first time, you can expect to meet a warm, family-friendly community of people who care about one another and the Clayton Heights community.
Our Values
Discipleship Jesus is the hero of our story. Discipleship is about learning to be like Jesus in every part of our lives. It is not just a weekly meeting but a daily lived reality.
Mission We are a people on mission, sent to live and speak the good news of Jesus in our homes, our neighbourhoods, and our places of work.
Hospitality Whether it be on Sunday morning or throughout the week, we seek to make space in our lives for others. We encourage people to open their hearts and their homes to those around them.
Worship Worship forms us. In worship, God reveals His grace, reorders our desires, and forms us into the likeness of Christ.
Image Bearing Every person is created in God’s image, and is therefore created equal. We seek to practice that in the Kingdom of God no one receives preference on the basis of race, wealth, status, or position.
Unity We are part of a wider body of believers that extends beyond denominational affiliations. We commit ourselves to praying for the churches in our neighbourhood, and collaborating with them for the good of the city.

Hope Community Church History
Hope Community Church began 25 years ago with a handful of people who had the vision for a welcoming church that would embody Christ's love for the city.
For many years, Hope met in school gyms in Surrey. With help from our Christian Reformed denomination in the early 90's, we purchased 7 acres of land in Clayton Heights. The dream was to build a church that would be a hub for the surrounding community. In 2016 this dream became a reality.
God has placed us in Clayton Heights; together we seek to embrace our calling to live and speak the good news of Jesus Christ in our neighbourhood.
