Who we are
JoyCity Church is an independent, evangelical and charismatic church led by Pastors KM & Maggie Chan, a husband and wife team. The church is in the community to be of service to people of all ages and all walks of life.
The church meets every Sunday morning for a time of praise and worship, teaching of the word of God, followed by fellowship over light refreshments. We have a full and exciting Sunday School children’s program which runs concurrently with the main service.
What can you expect from the our Sunday service?
A vibrant atmosphere exuberant in praise and contemplative in worship
A potent experience filled with the Spirit of God
An encounter with biblical truth that is relevant to everyday living
Other activities include
- JCKids school holiday kids club for years 1-6
- Regular Lifegroups for families, youth, young adults and working adults
- JCWomen: Weekly women's fellowship to equip and empower women to fulfill their God given purpose
It is our desire that you will have a special encounter with Jesus Christ, the Author of our love and object of our worship. We welcome your visit and trust that you will enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of JoyCity Church.

JoyCity Church History
For over 10 years prior to starting JoyCity Church, Pastors KM and Maggie Chan were part of the ministry team at Full Gospel Assembly Perth. In late 2001, they felt the call to pioneer a new church in their local area. Together with a group of 9 others, JoyCity Church came into being on the 2nd of February 2002, meeting first at a home then at the Melville Aquatic Fitness Centre in Booragoon.
By God's grace, from a group of 11 at the inception of the church, the ministry has grown and opportunities to serve the community continue to multiply.
The children's ministry, JC Kids is ever expanding and provides an exciting, fun-filled, Christ centred Sunday School and holiday program for primary aged children.
As JoyCity Church continues to grow, our mission remains constant that is seeing a generation turning to God in worship, bringing joy to the city of Perth, the nation and beyond.
