DESCRIPTION:Worship with us on Sundays @ 10:30 am at 2400 Grant St, Vancouver, WA Iona is a Liturgical Church Our worship service is a traditional Anglican Communion or Eucharist Service. It is a reflective and joyous service that combines readings from the Bible, a blend of hymns and modern worship songs, ancient prayer practices, and communion. Our liturgy (which means ‘the work of the people’) is grounded in practices dating back to the early church and is a common script we use for worship. It helps keep us all on the same page, while giving us room for the Spirit. These liturgies connect the body of Christ today with the Historic Church. Our liturgical practices are governed by the Latin phrase "Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi," which essentially means “the rule (law) of prayer is the rule of faith.” In other words, how you worship demonstrates what you believe. Our liturgy shows what Christians have done since the beginning of the Church in Acts 2—namely, they gather for the apostles’ teaching, prayer, fellowship, and breaking bread (communion).
