Therefore, there will be no communal celebration of Mass during this period of lockdown. The Church is committed to helping us and asks that we help each other during this time. The statement from Cardinal Nichols and Archbishop McMahon asks that we join a national shared moment of prayer each day at 6pm and observe the Vigil of Christ the King (21 November) as a day of prayer for the ending of this pandemic. Our Parish Church of St Francis of Assisi will be open for Private Prayeras follows: •Sunday:9.30 –11.30am •Tuesday: 10.00 –11.00 am NB. Please come only at the start times, ie not earlier, so the stewards can prepare the church. You must follow the instructions of the stewards at all times.
