SUMMARY:St Giles Parish Church Service Times
DESCRIPTION:Crib Service Mainly for children, but bring your parents and grandparents! The children put the figures in the crib and take presents to Jesus. Saturday 24th December 2016 at 4:00 PM for ¾ hour   Midnight Mass at St Giles A beautiful service with incense. There is also an earlier Carols by Candlelight service with Holy Communion at Dethick at 10:00pm. Saturday 24th December 2016 at 11:45 PM for 1½ hours   Christmas Day Service Sunday 25th December 2016 at 9:30 AM for 1 hour   Sunday Sunday Said Eucharist Every Sunday at 8:00 AM for ½ hour Sung Eucharist (Family service on 1st Sunday) Every second third fourth fifth and last Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour Family Eucharist (First Sunday) A service for all ages. Children are especially welcome. We have a children's area for parents with babies and young children. Older children often gravitate there as well. There are toilet facilities in church. Other weeks, we have 'Fun Club' in the barn for the children. Every first Sunday at 9:30 AM for 1 hour Evensong Traditional Evensong. On the second Sunday there is a service at Holloway instead. On the fourth Sunday we have a modern contemplative service called Breathing Space and there is usually a Healing Service when there is a fifth Sunday. Every first third fourth and fifth Sunday at 6:30 PM for 1 hour Breathing Space (4th Sunday) A modern contemplative form of evening prayer Every fourth Sunday at 6:30 PM for ¾ hour Wednesday Wednesday 7pm Eucharist A short said service, no sermon, usually in the Lady (Chapel) Every Wednesday at 7:00 PM for ½ hour Thursday Thursday 10am Eucharist A short, said Eucharist, no sermon, usually in the Lady (Chapel) Every Thursday at 10:00 AM for ½ hour Saturday Saturday 8:30am Eucharist A short, said Eucharist, no sermon, usually using the Guild Altar in the North Aisle. Every Saturday at 8:30 AM for ½ hour
