Who we are
Aldgate Baptist began in 1968 when a small group of people began sharing a vision for a Baptist church in the Adelaide Hills. The group met for a time as the Baptist Hills Fellowship before the church began officially in 1970. The current church building was purchased in 1972. God has richly blessed the church, growing it to be a vibrant community of faith.
Aldgate Baptist is a church of around 250 people from many different church and life backgrounds. We have come together as one community to grow in our love of the Lord Jesus and to share his love with the wider world. Aldgate Baptist has a strong commitment to teaching God’s Word, being open to his Spirit, sharing life in community, engaging and supporting mission here and overseas, and to living out our faith practically.

Aldgate Baptist is located at 202 Old Mount Barker Rd, Aldgate. It's about half way between Aldgate and Bridgewater, central and easily accessible from anywhere in the Adelaide Hills. Our church is also only ten minutes from the tollgate at the bottom of the freeway, and can be accessed from both the Stirling and Bridgewater freeway exists. It's in a beautiful spot tucked away among big gum trees and we think it's worth seeking out.
