Chatham Bible Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We invite you to join us as we worship God and serve our community together.
PRIORITIES / STRATEGIES
What is most important to us this year and how will we pursue it?
Ephesians 4:11-16 - To build up the body of Christ at Chatham with a focus on:
• Maturity
by pursuing spiritual stability
through doctrinal and biblical instruction
...to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes (vs.13-14)
• Health
by pursuing connection with Christ
through ministry-focused prayer
...we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ (v.15)
• Unity
by pursuing loving relationships
through small groups and fellowship
...the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped (v.16)
• Support
by pursuing ministry engagement
through leadership training
...when each part is working properly (v.16)
• Growth
by pursuing missional progress
through evangelism
...makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love (v.16)

Pastor Sergei was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Raised in a non-religious, post-Soviet family, he met Christ at age 16 through American missionary neighbors. Sergei is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and is ordained in the EFCA. He served in Kyiv for 3 years, and spent 8 years as pastor of Christian Fellowship Free Church in Chicago before coming to Chatham in 2015. Sergei and his wife, Gillian, a published author, live in Spanish Lake with their daughters, Elaina, Zoya, Polina and Evangeline. Polly and Evie, who was adopted from Ukraine, both have special needs, and the family is glad to be involved in the special needs community.

There's no particular dress code here. Some of our members are most comfortable worshiping in casual clothing and some in more formal dress. We simply want you to focus on Jesus in order to know and worship Him.
