Who we are
Welcome to Christ Church Cobridge – a Christian community aiming to live a shared life of worship, prayer and service for and with the people of Cobridge.
The common life we share, which is open to all, is described by our Bishop as expressing a ‘hospitality of the heart’. We recognise the image of God in all those who come into contact with us and we seek to honour and affirm each person who crosses our path.
Our community vision is to build a diverse, varied and compassionate church where each person finds a special and valued place. We believe in the healing power of such a community and pray that we will grow in love and depth and numbers under the direction of the Holy Spirit, and that we will show more of the life of Jesus in our life together.
The foundations of our common life are our ‘gathering points’ – where people come together in fellowship, worship and social interaction. The main regular ‘gathering points’ are:
Mother and toddler group Mondays from 915 am til 1045 am
Community Lunch Club – every Tuesday at 12 noon – sharing food and friendship for older folk
Wednesday - Craft Drop In over lunchtime between 11am and 1pm.
Thursday Communion – 10.00am each week – worshipping, learning and fellowship followed by refreshments between 11am and 1pm.
Songs of Praise at Camoys Court – a monthly service on the last Sunday of each month at 3pm at a local residential home.

Christ Church sits in a very busy spot between two of the 'Five Towns' of Arnold Bennett's writing (he was actually born just down the road from the church). The church is on Remer Street and is slightly set back from the A50, Waterloo Road - the main link road between Hanley and Burslem. Church Postcode is ST6 2JN. A new NHS Community Health Complex has been established behind the church.
