Christ the King has a tabernacle-kind of history - setting up tent to worship faithfully in many physical locations, including the school gym where we now gather.That gives us an openness to new faces and new ideas. In 2012 we celebrated our 25th anniversary as a congregation.

January 2004 Worship moves to rental space in the Timberlea School Gym

September 2001 Rev. Susan Horton installed by Rev. Phil Hink, Assistant to the Bishop

Spring 2001 Worship moves to St. Thomas Anglican Church, 5:00 p.m. Sundays

February 1993 Rev. Don Bolstad installed by Bishop Bob Jacobson

January 1991 Rev. Vincent Erikkson called for interim ministry

October 1990 Rev. Marv Krebs installed

January 1989 The Charter for membership opened

July 1988 Trudy Sluth, student from Camrose Lutheran Bible Institute, arrives for the summer

1984-85 Contact is predecessors of the ELCIC, The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada (ELCC) and the Lutheran Church of America, Canada Section, about establishing a congregation

1984 A couple of Lutherans talk during a community choir practise and the idea of a new congregation is born
