Who we are
The Church of the Cross, Turangi, Lake Taupo, a co-operating parish of Anglicans, Methodists and Presbyterians worshiping weekly, with a variety of traditional services.
The Co-operative Parish of Turangi is a small Parish with no resident minister but a strong Parish Council. Worship varies according to the traditions involved and weekly services can be from one of the three co-operating denominations. While the congregation tends to be older, with many people moving into the area to retire, there are often younger people and travellers worshiping with us. The church welcomes many local holiday home owners who attend regularly as well as an increasing number of tourists, particularly young people, who are walking the world famous Tongariro Crossing.

Ethos: Common purpose. Mainly Anglican, but can be Presbyterian or Methodist services from time to time.
Social: Morning Tea following all services (except Christmas) for fellowship.
Shared meals occasionally and support for and involvement in Turangi Community events
Outreach: Church Fellowship every Tuesday, 10 a.m. in the church lounge.
Highlights: Christmas Service, 10 a.m. only.
