Who we are

Church of the Holy Family was established in 2008 when the community members of Our Lady of Angels and Christ the King parishes merged. Our new parish has benefited from the unique talents and enthusiastic involvement from the combined communities and continues to thrive under the leadership of Rev. Clarence Rumble and Deacon George Phillips.

Our Parish agrees with the goals of a parish as outlined by the bishops of our country in the 1993 social justice pastoral, Communities of Salt and Light:

The parish is where the church lives. Parishes are communities of faith, of action, and of hope. They are where the gospel is proclaimed and celebrated, where believers are formed and sent to renew the earth. Parishes are the place where God’s people meet Jesus in word and sacrament and come in touch with the source of the church’s life.

As a community of faith, we at the Church of the Holy Family recognize the need to grow in the knowledge, love and appreciation of our faith. A religious education program is provided for virtually every age level from pre-school to adult. We also realize that the Eucharistic celebration is the center of parish life, providing nourishment and strength. Through the various ministries, many have the opportunity to share more fully in this experience.

As a community of action, many organizations, programs and projects provide an outlet for the skills and talents of her people. This helps build up a parish spirit, creating a sense of belonging and fulfillment.

As a community of hope, we share both the joys and sorrows of our parish family and try to be present as church to those who need our attention, prayers and concern.
