Who we are
Welcome to Connect Community Church
Our reason for existence can be found in our mission statement. At Connect Community, we exist to help people connect to their faith, their family, and their future. We encourage people to join us by coming, connecting, contributing and then going and being commissioned.
Connect Community is a Spirit filled church and a member of the Assemblies of God Fellowship. The Assemblies of God has a standard since 1914 of 16 Fundamental Truths. Contained in these core beliefs you will find four Cardinal doctrines which simply stated are: Salvation, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing and The Second Coming of Christ. For a more detailed explanation we encourage you to check out ag.org or attend one of our Next Steps classes led by our senior pastor and offered quarterly at the church.
We are part of the Assemblies of God, the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination with some 65 million members and adherents. The Assemblies of God is committed to a four-fold mission: evangelize the lost, worship God, disciple believers and show compassion. Connect Community Church has been in existence since 1953 and was formerly known as Central Assembly of God. It has a long standing tradition of great leadership and stability. The name of the church was changed in 2016 to better reflect the vision and mission of the church.
What You Will Experience
When you visit Connect Community you will experience a friendly group of people who look forward to meeting you. You will find anointed worship, and encouraging ministry of the Word. Every age group is represented at the church. We have exciting ministry for children and youth, ministry to men and women, and are in the process of developing other ministries for you and your family to connect with others.

Pastor Kevin and Tammie Ward serve as Lead Pastors of Connect Community. They were called to service in December of 2013 and are excited to be here in Pasadena. The Wards have over 25 years of leadership experience serving in many different capacities. Most recently they served as the Lead Pastors at Central Assembly in Enid Oklahoma for 9 years and prior to that they served as District Youth Directors in the North Texas District for 13 years.
The Wards are passionate about seeing hearts and lives changed by the grace of God. They love to see families worshiping together and have a great heart for the next generation of believers.
Tammie is a gifted leader and communicator in her own right. She has served as a Children’s pastor, spoken at various camps and conferences and also ministered to ladies and pastor’s wives.
The Wards have three children who are all in ministry.
