Mission Statement

Guide

Leading people into a growing relationship with Christ. We desire to serve the most needy individuals and families in our local area. We are first and foremost a fellowship of believers that believe in following Christ’s examples of service. He said ” I have not come to be served but to be serve. “Our desire is to lift him up:allowing him to be draw people to God’s Kingdom.

Celebration

We believe that to have an effective community we must commit to a time of weekly celebration. At these celebrations you will experience authentic worship and challenging Biblical teaching on issues that are important to you today. We are a church that is fluid adjusting our methods along the way to more effectively be the Church to our community.

Outreach

We are a church that is constantly growing knowing that none of us have arrived in our spiritual journey, but are here to spur one another on in our spiritual transformation.

Call

The call of God has been the same since the beginning of time. We are called to surrender our lives and center them around Jesus Christ. At The mission of our church is to lead people into a growing relationship with Christ. We strongly encourage, teach, and promote living the Christ-centered life as part of that growing relationship.

Costa Mesa Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene History

In the mid 1940′s a group of devout ladies began meeting at their homes for Bible Study. From that group came the Costa Mesa Church of the Nazarene. In 1948 a building was secured and moved to its permanent location at Anaheim Ave and Plumer St.

After the existing renovation what started as a small group of ladies meeting at their houses for bible studies, came the Church of the Nazarene. Over the Years 1,000′s have been drawn to the Church of the Nazarene that continues to shine 64 years later and growing.

Men like Pastors Clive Williams, Eldon Cobal, Chuck James, Don Thurman, Drew Boucke, Doyle Henderson, Dale Fitch, and currently Phil Eyskens and others have lead a determined group of believers to keep the Light of Jesus Christ shinning in Costa Mesa Church of the Nazarene.

In 2000 the Church was renamed to The Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene.

Outreach History

Lighthouse Outreach Ministries was created By Pastor Dale Finch in 2002. He saw a great need with in the city and sought to provide a place for people to come and have a cup coffee, pastry, and few minutes away from the streets.

As the numbers grew larger, a charitable organization was formed and and expand not only to feed to but clothing and hot showers. Now the light shines out to thousands every month.

Today the Church and its outreach ministry is one of the largest providers of ministry to the needy in the area.
