Here at Encounter Church it is our desire that everyone who walks in our doors has a life changing encounter with God. At the heart of our mission is the commitment to be a church that is actively loving God and loving people. As we obey the commands of Jesus, our prayer is that our church is a place where each person can encounter hope, encounter love and encounter God. Whether it is in Kid’s Church or Sunday Service we teach that through Jesus Christ a person can have a life changing experience and find eternal life through Jesus Christ.

1. What brought you to the Fox Cities? After growing up in Ohio and moving to Texas to attend a Masters commission program I met my wife. We served at the church there for 6 years when we felt the Lord asking us to move back to the Midwest to pastor a church and raise our children. The fox cities is where the Lord led us.
2. How long have you been part of Encounter Church? I have served as lead pastor for 11 years.
3. What do you do for fun? I love sports, movies, travel, reading
4. What are your favorite sports teams? Being that I am from Ohio, I am an Ohio State University and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan.
5. What are your favorite places to travel? Anyplace I can go. I especially enjoy New York City and Disney World.
6. What is your favorite book? Courageous Leadership. Scary Close. Soul Keeping.
7. What biblical figure do you identify with the most and why? I am not sure that I identify with him per se, but I absolutely love the story and life of David.
8. What Scripture has impacted your life the most? When going through a difficult time in life I clung to and still cherish Job 23:10 – But he knows where I am and what I’ve done. He can cross-examine me all he wants, and I’ll pass the test with honors..
9. Tell us about your salvation experience. I grew up in a Christian home and remember as a kid giving my heart to the Lord, but it was in March of 1996 while attending The Ohio State University that I completely surrendered my heart to the Lord and allowed him to direct my future.
