Who we are
Dear Friends,
We would like to introduce our church to you,
The Faith Baptist Church is not merely another ‘Church’ around the corner of another street in Hobart. It is our conviction that we have to remain faithful and true to the Bible-God’s revealed Word for our redemption. We stand for the historic Christian faith, known as “sound doctrines”. We are Christians who believe that the Bible is the basis for our beliefs, lives, conduct and practices. Our purpose is to preach and teach the Bible- nothing more, nothing less. We have been regularly worshipping in Hobart since 1978.
Our worship times are reverent but joyous. Children sit together with their parents in quiet discipline learning to worship God from infancy. We also believe that the parents are given the responsibility and the obligation to be the primary teachers of their children in Christian conduct and spiritual truths in their own homes daily (Dt 11: 1,2, 18-21; 6: 4-9,10; Prov 22: 6; 1 Tim 1: 5). Hymns and choruses are sung with the opportunity for testimonies. Central to that is the faithful preaching of Scripture. You would notice genuine love and affection in our midst – a family atmosphere. We offer a friendly welcome and a true Christian fellowship.
