As United Methodists, we affirm the historic doctrines of the Christian faith including:

We believe strongly in speaking up for God’s creation and God’s people and are willing to take a stand. However, we are also able to see the complexities of issues and to welcome within our church those who wrestle faithfully with the concerns we face but come to differing conclusions.

In ministering to children, we strive to help them grow in their understanding of God’s love and to become disciples of Jesus Christ. First Church offers an assortment of programs for children throughout the year.
At FUMC we are proud of our commitment to providing a safe environment for our children and youth. Safe Sanctuaries Training, including background checks, is a requirement of all adults volunteering with children, youth and vulnerable adults.
