Who we are
Wij geloven dat de Bijbel Gods volledige Woord is en alles is wat we nodig hebben om Zijn wil te begrijpen en ernaar te kunnen leven.
Wij geloven dat God deze wereld heeft geschapen en dat in het begin alles goed was. De vrije wil van de mens liet toe dat de zonde deze wereld binnenkwam.
Dit had tot gevolg dat de mensheid van God werd gescheiden. Dit betekent dat we de prachtige dingen missen die God ons biedt, zoals vreugde, vrede en hoop.
Maar deze situatie hoeft niet voor altijd zo te zijn.
Door Zijn zoon Jezus naar de aarde te sturen, heeft God de muur van zonde gesloopt die ons van Hem scheidde.
God belooft ons het geschenk van eeuwig leven door Jezus.
Hoe kun je dit geschenk aanvaarden?
Door te geloven dat Jezus Gods zoon is.
Erkennen dat je gescheiden bent van God door je wandaden.
Ondergedompeld worden in water om een nieuwe schepping in Christus te worden.
Trouw zijn aan God en Zijn Woord blijven gehoorzamen voor de rest van ons gezegende leven.
We zijn niet alleen, want op deze levenslange reis worden we geholpen door de Heilige Geest en onze medegelovigen.
Hier in Haarlem komen we wekelijks bijeen; In deze tijd is een van de dingen die we doen het gedenken van Gods geschenk van Jezus aan de wereld. Dit doen we door samen het Heilig Avondmaal te vieren ter herinnering aan Zijn offer aan het kruis op Golgotha.
We believe the Bible is God’s complete Word and is everything we need to understand His will and to be able to live according to it.
We believe that God created this world and that in the beginning everything was good. Free will in man allowed sin to enter this world.
This resulted in mankind being separated from God. This means that we miss out on the wonderful things that God offers like joy, peace and hope.
But this situation doesn’t have to be like this forever.
By sending His son Jesus to earth God demolished the wall of sin that separated us from Him.
God promises us the gift of eternal life through Jesus.
How can you accept this gift?
By believing that Jesus is God’s son.
Recognizing your separation from God through your wrongdoings.
Being immersed in water to become a new creation in Christ.
Being faithful to God and continuing to obey His Word for the rest of our blessed life.
We are not alone for in this lifelong journey we are helped by the Holy Spirit and our fellow believers.
Here in Haarlem we meet weekly; in this time one of the things we do is to remember God’s gift of Jesus to the world. We do this by sharing the Lord’s Supper together in remembrance of His sacrifice on the cross at Calvary.
