Trent is a pastor’s son who grew up in Greenville, MS and Nashville, TN. He received his undergraduate degree from Welch College in 1991. In 2012 he completed a Master’s Degree in Youth Ministry Leadership from Huntington University. While working at Camp Jacob for 2 summers during college Trent developed a passion for youth. He has spent more than 20 years serving as a youth/worship pastor in Georgia, Michigan, Indiana, and now California. He moved to California in 2013 to work at California Christian College, serving as Director of Admissions and later the VP for Academics while also teaching ministry courses. Trent loves to teach and still teaches at California Christian College, but came on Staff at Harmony in July, 2018 as our Youth Pastor. Trent was selected to become Harmony’s Lead Pastor in September 2019.

While attending Welch College, Trent met his wife, Jennifer. Jennifer has been an active part of his ministry serving in music programs, youth, and children’s ministry. Jennifer is presently the Harmony church secretary.

Trent and Jennifer have been married for 27 years, and have 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, and 1 granddog. Their eldest daughter, Kelsey, is an elementary school teacher whose husband, Taylor, is a creative arts pastor in Lansing, MI. Their younger daughter, Maggie, is a college student studying Music Therapy.

Dressing up is not a requirement to worship with us at Harmony. Some do wear their “Sunday best” but you’re also likely to see someone in slacks and a casual shirt, or even jeans. We believe the most important part about Sunday morning is showing up, ready to worship God.

Children’s Ministry

Babies & Toddlers

Safe and loving nursery and childcare is provided for all of Harmony's church services. Facilities include an infant nursery and a toddler's playroom. We also have a private area for nursing moms.
All volunteers and nursery workers go through a screening process before being approved by our Director of Children's Ministry.

Preschool / Kindergarten

Our preschool/kindergarten program provides classes for every service at Harmony Church: Sundays at 8:00am, 10:30am, and 6:00pm as well as Wednesdays at 7:00pm. Our classes provide plenty of songs, Bible lessons, activities, games, crafts and the perfect place to make some friends.

G.E.R.M.S. (God Eternally Rocks My Socks)

The Children's Ministry seeks to lovingly guide and interact with our children so that they share our church's mission. Children 4 years old through 4th grade receive age-appropriate lessons that are centered on Biblical truths, reinforced with practical life application and enriched by a craft or game.

Studio 56

Fifth and Sixth graders are known as tweeners because they are between elementary aged students and junior high aged students. Not only are they "tweeners" in their age and grade, but also in maturity and spirituality. They are children yet they are looking to break out and be more than just kids. Because of this, they always feel in between. They think they are too old to do the things that are done in GERMS, but are not ready for Youth Group. The goal in Harmony's ministry to 5th & 6th graders is to simply give them a place to be ministered to...a place they feel that they belong. It's designed to bridge the gap between GERMS and Youth Group.

Harmony Youth Group – JOE (Jesus Over Everything)

Our high school group is named JOE, to represent that Jesus comes before everything else in life. When you come to one of our teen services, we want you to connect with God. There is nothing more important than your relationship to Him.
