Who we are
Welcome!
Come in! Make yourself at home! We at Mt. Zion hope you will enjoy your time browsing our website., learning a bit about Mt. Zion, our mission, our vision, and our people.
We don’t believe you are here by accident. Rather, we believe you are here by God's perfect, divine plan. We believe He has brought us together so we can help each other grow to be more like Jesus.
We hope you will join us for worship and small group Bible study as we "Worship the Lord with gladness and come before him with joyful songs." (Psalm 100:2), then stay and become a part of our church family. We can explore God's plan for our lives – individually and corporately – together.
We hope you enjoy your time at Mt. Zion and, again, welcome to Mt. Zion – The Church on Bays Road!
Our Worship Center
Our Worship Center was a step of faith as we continue to improve our facility in order to make it the best house we can provide for God. This Worship Center includes a beautiful 300-person capacity, an intimate Heritage Room/Chapel, classrooms, office space, lobby, and a Welcome Center, complete with coffee, other beverages, and a breakfast bar.
The Worship Center is attached to our Family Life Center which houses a full gym that doubles as a fellowship area and a complete kitchen as well as additional classrooms. The Family Life Center is available to the public for use for weddings, baby & bridal showers, family reunions, graduation parties, and more.
We hope you will come join us each week as we worship the Lord!

Mount Zion Church History
Mt. Zion History
Mt. Zion United Brethren Church was built in 1870 on a half-acre of land on the corner of Bays and Reynolds Roads in Wood County, Ohio. While the appearance of our building has changed dramatically over the years, the people of Mt. Zion have continued to live out their Mission and Vision Statements by offering a variety of worship and learning experiences. We have also continually worked to meet the needs of the people in our community by developing ministries that touch their lives in meaningful ways. Mt. Zion is also active in supporting missions and missionaries worldwide.
