Who we are
Welcome to NEO Church!
We are a Christian non-denominational church in Cleveland, Ohio with an emphasis on biblical teaching, contemporary worship, and meaningful relationships. Click the tiles below to explore more!
Our Name
NEO is the Greek word for “new.” We believe and have clearly seen that Jesus saves and changes lives. When a person believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior, they receive new life in Him.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17
NEO Church is also an acronym for North East Ohio, so we thought it was the perfect name.
Beginnings
In November of 2007, God put a vision in the heart of Pastor Dan Burgoyne to plant a church that would seek to reach every generation in Northeast Ohio with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
With the help of a small and faithful team, NEO Church opened its doors in the form of a Bible study on Wednesday evenings. Soon, the barn where we had been meeting was overflowing. It was clear we were in need of a larger location.
Given the vision to reach all of NE Ohio, a location central to both Cleveland and its suburbs was ideal. On July 6, 2008, God opened the doors for the first Sunday morning service at the Independence Middle School on Archwood Road. This location was perfect because it was so close to two major highways: I-480 and I-77, running east, west, north and south of Cleveland.
Today we are witnessing a growing and thriving community of people who hail from all around the city. We are thankful for what God has already done, and we are eagerly anticipating what He is going to do next!
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to His power at work within us. To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever Amen.

We believe one of our greatest purposes as a church is to build a foundation for the next generation to know and glorify Jesus Christ. To do that, we provide a warm, entertaining, and a safe environment with talented and motivated leaders who share the truths of God’s Word.
