Our Misson
We at Oakwood are seeking to glorify Jesus Christ. As His Spirit of love and unity rules among us, we seek to worship God, to build one another through teaching and mutual ministry, and to evangelize at home and abroad.
Our Vision
That our Church:
- Would be a place where hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.
- Would be a place of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the many residents in the Oakwood community.
- Would equip every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents God has given them.
- That Oakwood Baptist Church, will minister to the whole person, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially.

Pastor Steve Mills was born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario. As a boy, he trusted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour. He was subsequently baptized and became a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He has degrees from the University of Toronto and Dallas Theological Seminary.
In the past 35 years, Pastor Mills has served Baptist churches in Blind River, Oakville, Brantford, Cambridge, Sault Ste Marie and Montreal. In recent years he has served as an interim pastor in Willowdale, Pickering and now at Oakwood.
Pastor Mills is married to Annette. They have 4 adult sons and 6 perfect grandchildren.

Taking a 'Time Out' to pray and fellowship one with another in the presence of the Lord.

Our History
Oakwood Baptist Church celebrated its 93rd Anniversary on October 29th, 2013. We are truly blessed and continue to thank God for keeping the doors open to fulfil His will and providing faithful men and women who down through the years have contributed to the operations of the church.
"City which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. May we whose privilege it is to maintain this testimony today, dedicate ourselves afresh to this great and holy task."

Our prayer is to see Oakwood Baptist Church still standing for many years to come, giving God all the praise and glory!
