Who we are
Welcome to St Georges Methodist Church and Wellspring Centre.
We have an active congregation and a centre that is open to all, we have rooms and a large hall to hire and a cafe that is open 10.30 to 1.30 daily for tea coffee and snacks.
Hot lunch is serves on the 1st and 4th Friday and the 2nd and third Thursday each month We have a small Chapel within the centre where a Wednesday mid week service is held at 10:30am.

I joined our Circuit here in September 2012 as the Superintendent Minister having previously been Superintendent of the former Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted Circuit.
Originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, I moved down South in 1986. I am married to Mandy, who is a Primary School Teacher.
We have three children – Tom, who is 27 and is looking to move to Manchester soon where he will work in the Mental Health Sector. Jacob, who is 25 and works in the Insurance Industry, he lives with his fiancé Leesa in a home they have bought together here in Bournemouth. And last, but not least, Josh, who is 22, and who often refers to himself as the "golden child"! He works for Boots but is currently a supervisor in a local Covid 19 testing Centre. Eventually he hopes to have a career in photography.
I work as part of the ministry team here in the Poole Bay Circuit and feel privileged to be fulfilling my calling to be a presbyter in this lovely part of the country, and with such a great staff team. Being here also affords me the opportunity to enjoy amazing walks near the sea and in the countryside – in my spare time, and I really love cooking. Here my wife and I complement each other greatly, I do savoury, Mandy does sweet!
