Fun Family Church
A service for young families with children aged 0-10 years including stories, games, fun activities, creative crafts, singing and refreshments.
Every second Saturday at 3:00 PM until Saturday 10th December 2016 for 1½ hours
 
Midweek Communion
A said service of Holy Communion with short reflection/sermon held in the side (Chapel).
Every Wednesday at 9:30 AM for 50 minutes
 
'Milestones'
The 'Milestones' quiet afternoon is to provide an opportunity for individuals to reflect on their life's journey led by words of scripture, visual aids and quiet music in order to find peace and refreshment. All welcome.

'Funeral Tea'
We don't tend to talk about death, dying and funerals. Yet we all have thoughts, views, questions and feelings about this important subject that affects us all very deeply. Here is an opportunity to share and explore.

Silvertones Concert (Free)
The Silvertones, established five years ago, consist of the flute pupils of Nicola McDonnell. Aged 14 upwards they rehearse every fortnight and perform at two concerts each year, one in the summer and a Christmas celebration. Come and support them here in the beautiful surroundings of St. Mary's Church. They’re really good and it’s free!

Come along to share coffee, cake and chat. Also a chance to see what quality Fairtrade products are available.

Brass on the Grass
A relaxing late afternoon with Horbury Victoria prize winning Brass Band in the church grounds off Millfield Road. If you choose, bring a picnic, your cake-stand, a flag and your friends for a lovely summer's evening! Something to sit on would be useful too; whether it's a picnic rug or chair. St. Mary's last night at the Proms! £3 adults; children free. Pay on the gate. Proceeds divided equally between St. Mary's Church and the Band. In church if wet.
It's definitely 4-6pm on the 4th September.

Memorial Service
A quiet, reflective service of readings, prayers and hymns including the opportunity to light a candle in memory of loved ones who have died. The service is followed by refreshments in church for those who choose to stay for a chat. Christmas Art & Crafts Fair
Our annual Christmas Art and Crafts fair held 10.30am-4.30pm in the beautiful surroundings of the church. Come and find unusual Christmas gifts and a variety of pictures by local artists whilst enjoying musical interludes including Horbury Primary School staff & pupil choir at 11am. Light lunches and refreshments available all day in the Parish Centre. Christmas Hamper raffle. 50p entrance fee.

The Platform
The Platform is a group for young people from school Year 8 upwards that meets at the Vicarage 7-8.30pm on a Wednesday evening once a month. It is a safe space to chat, make friends, watch film clips and explore ideas and opinions about issues that matter with a group of other young people.
