Who we are
St. Philip Anglican Church is a community of people gathered around a common commitment to Jesus Christ. We hope to be a welcoming open community of faith in which we are all encouraged to grow in our awareness of God’s presence in our lives.
Our commitment to Christ has led us to the desire to be a place of FREEDOM and WELCOME.
We believe that God’s Spirit lives and moves in all people. We take seriously the Biblical teaching that all people are created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). We hope to nurture and encourage all people in knowing and living fully their created identity. It is our destiny to be like God. As a community we hope to discover together what it means for us to fulfill this rich and wonderful destiny and to discover our true identity in Christ
We rely upon God’s Spirit to lead us and to nurture us in faith. We understand that all people are at different places and stages in their journey with Christ. We aim, therefore, to respect the integrity of each person and to encourage all to listen more deeply to the Spirit of Christ speaking within our own hearts.

St. Philip's Anglican Church Oak Bay Service Times
Sunday Morning Worship
8am – Holy Communion. A short, sweet, smaller traditional worship service with no music and a shorter reflection.
9am – Family-friendly Eucharist. ‘Eucharist’ literally means ‘thanksgiving’ – and is the celebration of Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper. At our 9am worship we usually have a mix of eclectic music ranging from bluegrass to praise to traditional hymns – with nursery, Sunday School & youth ministry...
11:15am – Traditional Worship. Morning Prayer on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and Choral Eucharist on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays.
