What do we believe?
We believe in God the Eternal Father and in his son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. The church’s official name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because Jesus Christ is the centre of our faith. Our members believe in addition to the Bible we believe in the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.
We believe that ‘families can be together forever’ . We encourage members to do family family history to connect with their ancestors.
We believe in being productive members of society and teach our members to be self reliant. You can visit our Family History Centre or go to Family Search web page.
We believe in serving in our community and this is reflected in local ‘Helping hands’ projects and ‘I was a Stranger – An effort to Help Refugees’ initiatives. Contact us if you need help!
We strongly advocate for maintaining religious freedom and work closely with other interfaith groups to promote tolerance and respect. We work with various Christian groups including interfaith councils to promote equal rights as one of belief is We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our [own]1 conscience, and allow all men the same privilege[,] let them worship how, where, or what they may.
