Who we are
Welcome to Zion Lutheran Church. We invite you to join us in Sunday morning or weekday evening worship or in one of our Bible Study or fellowship events.
We care about you. Our desire is to introduce you to Jesus Christ and to walk with you as you grow a deeper relationship with Jesus our Lord. Our Loving God wants us to live a full life on this Earth and to spend an eternity with Him in Heaven. This is possible through our faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins on the cross.
Regardless of where you are in life, there is a place for you at Zion Lutheran Church. We want to share with the whole world the good news of Jesus and His love for all people. Jesus is your Savior and He invites you to believe in Him.

Our community will know Zion as a place where caring people serve as the "hands of Christ". We will be known as an inviting people, available and ready to meet the needs on un-churched people and eager to share Christ.
Our guests will be welcomed warmly by loving people that model Christ. We will love our guests, helping them to become involved in our congregation. They will be invited to return, and many will join our family of faith.
Our members will be united in Christ, nurtured in their faith, encouraged and equipped to serve, and empowered to lead. We will welcome others to our growing congregation. The Word will be taught and we will pray together. We are called to save souls!

Born and raised in Traverse City, MI. He attended Concordia University Ann Arbor, MI (1996-2000) graduating with B.A. majoring in World Religions and a minor in Greek. After college, he went to Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne, IN (2000-2004) in studies to be a pastor receiving a Master of Divinity. His first call was in 2004 to serve Trinity Lutheran Church Sioux Valley, MN. In a short couple of years, his single parish ministry would convert into a dual parish ministry to also receive a call to serve Concordia Lutheran Church Lake Park, IA. After his fourteen years “out west,” he received a call in 2018 to serve Zion Lutheran Church Wabash, IN. Some activities for Pastor Gauthier over the years has been to help with worship/Bible study at local nursing homes, serve on the board of what was Sioux Valley Lutheran High School, do chapel services at the Immanuel Lutheran K-8 School, write devotions for Concordia Publishing House and for local radio stations, go on various youth trips to Higher Things Gatherings Conferences and Thrivent Heartwood Resort, and also serve six years as the Worthington Circuit Visitor for the MN South District LC-MS. Pastor Gauthier has been married for sixteen years to his wife Amy who runs a pet grooming business out of their home in Wabash called, “Bark of All Trades.” They have plenty of dogs, cats, fish, and enjoy outdoor activities from hunting and fishing to biking.
