Who we are
Our Parish is small in nature but we have great resources in the people of our community. We stand on a wealth of history and of those who have laid a solid foundation of faithful service to Christ in the two communities that make up our region.
There are not too many parishes that can claim that their Parish School was established by a Saint! St Mary MacKillop founded St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School just over 150 years ago and we recognise the importance of our school to our community.
We welcome you to connect with our Parish and especially in the celebration of Sunday Mass at either St Benedict’s East Brisbane or St Joseph’s Kangaroo Point.

ATTENDING MASS
Masks should be worn while entering and leaving the church.
Masks should be worn while processing to receive Communion.
Cantors and choir members may remove masks as long as they can maintain a 1.5 metre distance.
Readers may remove their mask at the microphone.
Masks are not required while seated or kneeling while at your pew.
Weddings and Funerals, when held indoors, will continue to follow one person per 2 square metres or 200 people, whichever number is lower. Masks must be worn.
Please stay home if you’re feeling unwell
Our clergy and parish staff have been fully vaccinated. Thankyou for ensuring the safety of fellow parishioners.
