About Bendigo Baptist Church
Our Mission:
Following Jesus… Changing Our World
Our Vision:
A caring, multi-generational community of empowered believers impacting our community and beyond
Our Values:
Our community is shaped by several core biblical convictions that define who we are and what we are committed to. We seek the following values to permeate every aspect of our ministry...
Biblical Teaching; Prayer Dependence, Servant Leadership; Personal Development; Outreach; Healthy Relationships; Authentic Worship; Cultural Relevance
Our Strategy:
Under God’s leadership, we seek to achieve our mission through a fivefold strategy that is derived from the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:34-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)
1. Evangelism (Reach)
We believe that lost people matter to God (Luke 15:7, 10 & Matthew 9:13). Therefore we seek to foster numerous ways and means of engaging our church locally, nationally & globally. We seek to do this in a culturally relevant way that honours the intent of the Gospel to reach all people.
2. Fellowship (Connect)
We are committed to our core value of ‘Healthy Relationships’. (John 13:34-35). As such we seek to find numerous and innovative ways of seeing this realized amongst all age groups.
We desire to be a ‘multi-generational’ community. We want therefore to demonstrate God’s love and care in practical ways to all age groups.
3. Discipleship (Growth / Nurture)
As we win people into the Kingdom, we will find ways to integrate and foster a vital biblical spirituality. We desire that within our church there will be a hunger for the Word, and a thirst for the transforming power and presence of God’s Spirit in our lives. We believe that we need well thought out processes for growing and nurturing believers in Jesus.
4. Ministry (Discover)
We are committed to the development of God’s people. We believe it is our responsibility to equip, support, motivate and mentor individuals, enabling them to become all that God wants them to be (Ephesians 4:11-16).
5. Worship (Honour)
We believe we were created to worship and serve God. We are committed to worship being creative, relevant, reverent, enjoyable and pleasing to God.
