Center United Methodist Church is communicating God’s word in a creative and compelling way. Within these web pages, you will find information about our church and the different ministries that make up our community of faith. Center UMC is a place where many people have found new life.
We believe that through God’s grace, forgiveness and healing can be found. We have seen lives changed, marriages restored, and hearts mended by Christ. We are a community of faith, hope, and love believing God’s grace is available to anyone! The great thing about Center is the culture of acceptance and compassion that is so evident in this place. Whether you grew up going to church, haven’t been to church in years, or have never been to church, you will find people with similar experiences who have made Center UMC their home.

Center United Methodist Church is here for you. It is not just a church. It is a fellowship of believers coming together to declare the glory of the Lord and celebrate Jesus as King. We study the Word, practice what learn and in the process grow together. Worship is at the heart of all we do at Center UMC. Our primary reason for gathering is to worship God, but the work of the church does not stop there! We make and share lasting friendships. We learn the needs of others and find compassion to help meet those needs.
We are served during special times of need by those who have knelt with us at Holy Communion, participated with us in Baptisms, joined with us in congregational prayer, and sung with us the great hymns of the church. Since 1858, Center United Methodist Church has been a vibrant, loving and mission-oriented community in service to the people of Center, the surrounding communities and the entire world. All we are and all we do flows from our common worship and love of God. We are able to reach out and love others because God first loved us. Leader Bio:
Pastor Matt Wilson has been appointed to Center United Methodist Church since July 1, 2016. He previously served in the Mid-Ohio District from 2012 – 2016 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. In addition, Pastor Matt has served in the Southern Hills District at Salesville & Quaker City United Methodist Church’s. He is married to Crystal and they have four beautiful children; Jasmine, Katelynn, Tyler, and Sarah. Pastor Matt is pursuing his Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in Dayton Ohio.

Driving Directions to Center United Methodist Church
Travel/Direction Tips
Center United Methodist Church is located about 5 miles outside of Cambridge Ohio. Cambridge is located in southeastern Ohio and is convenient to interstate 77 and 70. Center is on State Route 22 off of interstate 77. As a matter of fact if you are heading to Salt Fork State Park you will pass our church if you are exiting off on interstate 77. We are six minutes from Salt Fork.
Parking
There are plenty of parking spaces around the church. We have three different areas to enter the church. You can walk around and enter the main doors in front of the church and this will take you right into the sanctuary. If you park in the back of the church there is a back door that enters our kitchen and fellowship hall. Just go through the fellowship hall and stay straight and go up the steps or you can turn right down a hallway that will take you to our elevator and steps into the church annex. There is a separate entrance off the annex as well.
We have a Handicap entrance located the back of the church. With handicap parking very near the door. Our elevator access is located through the fellowship hall, turn right down the hallway it will be at the end of the hallway.

Dress Code
Center United Methodist Church has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casual. We have no expectations for attire. We would like you to know that we keep are building in great shape and offer an air conditioned sanctuary and fellowship hall.
