Who we are
CIV (Church in the Valley) exists to "love God passionately, love the church sacrificially and love our neighbor compassionately." Our vision is to glorify God by making disciples of all nations and in every generation. We're about six months into the launch stage, meeting in a community hall on the south
side of Edmonton. The area is growing and affluent with an influx of people moving into neighborhoods and new communities just kilometres away from the international airport. We are in the process of training our core and leadership teams, building a value-shaping ministry that focuses on Christ as our
cornerstone and on healthy relationships with each other. It's a blessing to see the church intentionally reach out to their family, friends and community.

Leader Bio:
I have been married to my lovely wife, Adele (Deen-Deen), for 15 years. We have three beautiful children: Charis (12), Malachi (10) and Jasmin (6). Charis and Malachi are both part of their Tae Kwon Do school sparring team and regularly compete in tournaments. Jasmin just started taking piano lessons, which she enjoys very much. God has graciously blessed me with a wife who is not only my best friend and lifelong companion but who is also my partner in ministry. We find great satisfaction in seeing our children grow, loving and following Jesus. I work full time for a not-for-profit Christian agency that ministers to the homeless population of Edmonton. My wife also works full time, providing assistance to low-income families. Bivocational church planting is a special calling, through which our family is learning to navigate. My family is my greatest treasure, and I am so blessed to journey through life with them.
