Who we are
Welcome to the Nidd Church. There's been a place of worship here since the 13th century, so step back in time and worship with us using the form of service that has changed little since 1662.
The church is adjacent to Nidd Hall Hotel so follow the signs for the hotel and you'll find the church.

Driving Directions to Church of St Paul & St Margaret
Travel/Direction Tips
The church is not visible from the A61. The best way to it is to aim for Nidd Hall Hotel, signposted from the Ripley to Knaresborough Road B6165. Drive up the long drive (with passing places), across the main entrance and swing left. The church is in front of you and parking is further round to the left.
Access to the church is up four 9' steps with handrails. We have no wheelchair access but can usually get wheelchairs and their occupants into church one way or another. We have had plans for a wheelchair ramp drawn up but it would cost over £30,000 to build and disfigure the main view of the church.

Church of St Paul & St Margaret Service Times
10.30 Prayer Book service every Sunday
Our church is one of the few in the diocese which uses the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) almost exclusively. The pattern of worship is simple: always 10.30am, 1st and 3rd Sundays - Mattins, all others - Holy Communion. For Mattins we sing the canticles to familiar chants plus four hymns. For Communion we just sing four hymns. We have a two manual pipe organ in excellent condition. All singing, good and not so good, is much appreciated.
It's been more than 5 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

Empower me
Empower me to be a bold participant, rather than a timid saint in waiting; to exercise authority of honesty, rather than to defer to power or deceive to get it; to influence someone for justice, rather than impress anyone for gain; and by grace, to find treasures of joy, of friendship, of peace hidden in the fields you give me daily to plow.
