Who we are
Who are Danbury Mission?
We are a Christian church
We are a group of people who believe that Jesus is the Son of God and who are committed to following him in every aspect of our lives. In fact we are convinced everything (life, death and the universe!) revolves around him.
We are a Bible-Centred church
We are convinced that the Bible is the word of God and is the only reliable guide to help us understand God and his purposes for us. We also believe that his word transforms people and we’re therefore committed to listening to the Bible and applying it to our lives.
We are an independent church
We are not affiliated to any of the big denominations but we seek to have good relationships with other churches in the area. We are also members of the Evangelical Alliance. We have no authoritative body beyond the local congregation and as such our church members are ultimately responsible for the whole work of the church. This is both a privilege and a responsibility.
We are church with a mission
Our mission is three-fold:
Reach out by telling as many people as possible the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Build up by helping each other grow in our relationship with God in order that we might serve Him wholeheartedly in the church and the world. Send out by equipping every Christian to serve Jesus faithfully wherever God places them and to encourage some to be trained for church or overseas mission work.

Grant that I may not pray alone with the mouth; help me that I may pray from the depths of my heart.
