Who we are
We are a non-denominational church that began in 1971.
CORE VALUES
THE SUPREMACY OF SCRIPTURE The Word of God is central to our worship and preaching. The Bible doesn't just contain the Word of God it is God's Word and our standard for faith and conduct. THE UNIQUENESS OF JESUS CHRIST He is God and the only way to Heaven. Not all paths lead to God. No amount of good works or religious exercises can tip the scale in our favor. Jesus is the only satisfaction of God's just wrath against sin NOT Muhammad, Buddah, or any other religious system. THE CALLING OF ALL BELIEVERS All believers are missionaries. We are to bear witness to Christ and share the "Good News" of what God did in Him to those in our mission field. Whether it's to Zimbabwe or Subway, whether it's across the ocean or across the street we are all called to GO.
FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS
CREATION - We believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God.
The BIBLE - We believe the Bible is God's inspired and only infallible authoritative Word.
GOD - There is one God in three persons. The "Trinity" consists of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. All are God - distinct each from the other and yet one.
MAN - We believe man is created in the image of God and orginally enjoyed perfect communion with Him, but fell into sin rebelling against God. As a result, all of mankind are born in sin and are spiritually dead.
JESUS CHRIST - We believe Jesus Christ is God and the only way to inherit eternal life. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitionary and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal and immenent return in power and glory.
SALVATION - Only through the miraculous work of God's Spirit bringing the conviction of sin that produces a godly sorrow leading to repentance and through personal faith in Jesus Christ as the complete and satisfactory payment for our sin can we be pardoned of our sin, reconciled to God, and experience a supernatural, spiritual birth resulting in new life. Good works and righteous acts are merely the fruit of such an experience and play no role in being made right with God.
The HOLY SPIRIT - All true believer's are indwelled by the Spirit of God enabling them to live a victorious Christian life. The main evidence of the Spirit's presence is the production of and growth in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 13).
THE RESURRECTION - We believe in the resurreciton of the "saved" and the "unsaved"; the saved unto life and the lost unto damnation.
