Who we are
We are…
Christ Centered
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. — Colossians 1:18
Bible Preaching
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. — Romans 10:17
Evangelistic
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. — Mark 16:15
Friendly and caring
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. — Galatians 5:1
Baptistic
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: — Matthew 28:19
We are a church that is conservative, but not necessarily always traditional. Our beliefs (theology) and practices are always rooted in scripture. Because our beliefs are rooted in scripture, our doctrinal beliefs have not changed since the beginning of the church. However, as our culture changes, we recognize the need to change our practices (the application of our beliefs) with it, while still basing these changes on scripture.

Mark grew up on Long Island before his parents moved to the Adirondacks when he was 10, and finally Greenville, SC when he was 14. He was saved in September of 2005 and called to ministry soon after. He attended Bob Jones University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible in 2009 and a Master of Divinity in 2014. After school Mark served as assistant pastor at Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. Mark was called to the ministry of Faith Baptist in May 2017 and began ministering as the assistant pastor in August later that year. He began his role as Senior pastor in January 2020. He alternates teaching the youth and adult Sunday school classes, works with the youth, preaches the Sunday services, conducts visitation, and leads the other ministries of the church.
Apart from ministry, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Rebecca, whom he met while in school and married in December 2009. They have two girls in heaven and a third who they adopted in November 2021. Besides spending time with his wife, Mark enjoys hiking, photography, reading, cooking/grilling, strategy board games, and following football (especially the NY Giants and Clemson Tigers).

Dress Code
We believe that dress is an area of liberty for Christians. The Bible states that we should dress in our best to worship the Lord (Psa. 96:9). However, we leave that up to each individual to decide. Some people, including the pastor, wear a suit and tie. Most people dress more casually. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide what is appropriate attire to come and worship the Lord. Regardless of how you chose to dress, it’s likely you will find others dressed like you.
Prayers and Hymns
Main Bible:
We currently use the NKJV for our adult ministries and from the pulpit. We use ESV for our youth ministries, and our outreach.

Faith Baptist Church History
Help me to avoid every sin
Thanks to Thee, O God, that I have risen today, To the rising of this life itself; may it be to Thine own glory, O God of every gift, and to the glory, aid Thou my soul. With the aiding of Thine own mercy, even as I clothe my body with wool, cover Thou my soul with the shadow of Thy wing. Help me to avoid every sin, and the source of every sin to forsake, and as the mist scatters on the crest of the hills, may each ill haze clear from my soul, O God.
