About First Presbyterian Church

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ you are welcomed!

Thank you for visiting us!

Our church is a member congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA). We are located in Ogdensburg Borough, Sussex County, NJ, and were first organized as a mission church in 1880.

Our church seeks to provide witness to the life and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ within our local community.

We seek to grow in the greater knowledge and wisdom of God and invite you to join us for Worship each Sunday at 10AM.

We look forward to seeing you in Ogdensburg where the Son is always shining!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

Gospel of John 3:16 & 17

Special Needs

We believe access to Worship is important for all of God's people. An automated chair lift to our church sanctuary is available at the street level any Sunday for anyone who may have a need for it. An interior chair lift is also available for anyone who may wish to come downstairs for events in our Fellowship Hall following Worship. Join us - don't let accessability challenges prevent you from praising our Creator among friends in Christ.   Edit

The power of Christian prayer Help me to avoid every sin
Thanks to Thee, O God, that I have risen today, To the rising of this life itself; may it be to Thine own glory, O God of every gift, and to the glory, aid Thou my soul. With the aiding of Thine own mercy, even as I clothe my body with wool, cover Thou my soul with the shadow of Thy wing. Help me to avoid every sin, and the source of every sin to forsake, and as the mist scatters on the crest of the hills, may each ill haze clear from my soul, O God.
