Who we are
Freedom Baptist Church was established in June of 2008 when Brockington Road and Oakwood Baptist Churches merged, under the leadership of Pastor John Mix. We are an independent, fundamental, New Testament church that exists for the sole purpose of Lifting Up Jesus. Our focus is on people and helping them pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ.
It is our belief that God is the Judge of this world, not man. Therefore, you can have individual soul liberty and allow God to direct you. Baptists have believed this for centuries. Our church is a place of healing for many who have been abused and hurt. That is why we are called Freedom, so that you can “stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free." Come experience Freedom!

Pastor Vaprezsan was born in Hammond, Indiana. His parents, John and Linda Vaprezsan, were very involved in the First Baptist Church, pastored by the late Dr. Jack Hyles.
When he was 5 years old, the Lord directed his father to Pastor the Metro Baptist Church inBelleville, Michigan.
It was there, on July 27, 1978, as an eleven year old boy, Pastor John W Vaprezsan trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. Since that time, his hearts desire has been to introduce others to Christ and see them grow in their relationship with Him.
He graduated in 1984 from Metro Baptist High School and went on to Hyles-Anderson College where he later graduated as well. He has a Bachelor of Science from Christian Bible college as well as a Masters Degree and Doctorate of Ministry from Baptist College of America.
Pastor Vaprezsan and his wife Jennifer were married on May 7, 1988 and have two children, Preston and Alexis. They were called to Freedom Baptist Church on September 1,2010.

We are located at 18506 MacArthur Drive in North Little Rock, directly across from the Morgan Café. We are located just off the I-40 Morgan/Maumelle exit 142. As you walk in the main entrance, one of our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have.

Dress Code
There is not a dress code at Freedom Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional 'Sunday' dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Freedom Baptist!

Abide in my heart
Come, Lord Jesus, and abide in my heart. How grateful I am to realize that the answer to my prayer does not depend on me at all. As I quietly abide in You and let Your life flow into me, what freedom it is to know that the Father does not see my threadbare patience or insufficient trust, rather only Your patience, Lord, and Your confidence that the Father has everything in hand. In Your faith I thank You right now for a more glorious answer to my prayer than I can imagine. Amen.
