Who we are
Frindsbury Baptist Church has been serving the local community since it was founded in the 1920s. All through the week our buildings are used for a variety of activities.
But a church is a lot more than a building or a programme of activities. We are a group of ordinary people who have found that God has a place in our lives, and that he has given us hope and purpose for the future. We are pleased to welcome to our church any who wish to join us. Our aim is to be a caring church, supporting the local people and community.
As a church we are committed to:
Worship Encouraging everyone to actively respond to God's love with relevance and reverence.
Fellowship Each member knowing they are accepted, supported and valued in the church family.
Evangelism Enabling individuals to come to a personal relationship with Jesus.
Discipleship Encouraging people to grow in a closer relationship with God.
Ministry Every member fulfilling their role according to God's calling and gifting.

Prior to moving to our current site, the church met at a windmill in Bill Street Road. The site of this mill is within the cleft formed by the junction of Bill Street Road with Powlett Road.
Here was a smock mill, so called because this type was considered to resemble the old-time labourers-smock. In this case the main body of the mill was a fixture-a slopping tower-with only the cap swivelling to bring the sails into the wind.
It was owned for many years by a Mr Kimmins, and drove four pairs of stones.
This mill was demolished in about 1930, having stood derelict for a long period. The Mill House although having undergone some alterations, yet remains to represent a different age.

... to reflect Your love
Lord, make my life a window for Your light to shine through and a mirror to reflect Your love to all I meet. Amen.
