Who we are
Grove Hill is a friendly local church serving the South Woodford area (North East London). Our great priority is to introduce people to Jesus Christ so that they can come to know Him for themselves as Lord and Saviour. We are convinced that God still speaks to us today through the Bible, and we constantly seek to better understanding what He is saying by hearing it explained and studying it together.

We welcome people of all ages to be part of the church at Grove Hill and regularly run Christianity Explored courses for those who want to find out more about Jesus. We have more than 16 different nationalities represented in the church and rejoice in the variety this brings. You can read about what to expect in our Sunday Services here. We also believe church involves more than meetings on Sunday, so there are a range of other activities including home Bible study groups, prayer times, events and youth activities.
The church is affiliated to the FIEC (Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches) and seeks to base its teaching and life on the Bible. Please feel free to come along and meet us.

Grove Hill Evangelical Church Service Times
Sunday Services
At Grove Hill we have two regular services each Sunday. The service contains a mixture of singing, prayer, reading the Bible and a talk explaining the passage of the Bible we are currently studying.
11 am Morning Service
Our morning service is the main gathering of the church and we welcome everyone to join us, whether you’ve been a Christian for some time or just want to explore what faith involves.
We also hold a communion service once a month.
6.30 pm Evening Service
Our evening services are more informal with opportunities for questions and discussion. Once per month, our evening service is replaced by a prayer meeting.
We use the New International Version (NIV) Bible in all our services.
It's been more than 7 years since the last service times update. Please make sure to contact the church to confirm service times.

D.I.G. (Delighted in God)
DIG (Delighted In God) is a group of 11 to 16 year olds who meet in the lounge during the second half of the Sunday service. In DIG we aim to bridge the gap between Sunday school and the preaching in the service and build good biblical foundations to encourage and help you persevere through arguably some of the most challenging years of people’s lives.
We do this in an informal way, to give you plenty of time to ask questions, and even challenge us if you want to! We also play games (Empires is our favourite) and sometimes we even have homemade cakes!
