Who we are
Welcome to our church family. We are three congregations of the United Church of Canada in the communities of Henderson, Arden, and Mountain Grove.
We have a long history of serving God and helping one another in this area. We especially value our summer visitors and seasonal residents who enjoy the beauty of the lakes and forests of this special place in the Canadian Shield as much as we do.
As one of our former ministers, Rev. Alan McCuaig, wrote in 1953, "One reason tourists come back year after year is that the people here are kind and friendly.
As Christian folk we want them to feel at home and to know how much we appreciate their coming."
We hope you will join us this Sunday morning at one of our church services and return again to this website to discover the many events we host during the year.
Whether it is pancake breakfasts with local maple syrup, potluck suppers, BBQs, auction sales, or fresh made apple pies in the autumn; the friendly folks in the Arden Pastoral Charge continue to extend God's love and hospitality to their neighbours and visitors alike.

Henderson United Church History
The Henderson congregation was originally Methodist. Construction of this church began in 1907 and was completed in 1908. A unique feature of the church is the electric heating lamps which date from 1965.
