Who we are
This cosy little chapel in Inner Hope square is a place of simple beauty. Nestled in the old village square with its neighbouring thatched cottages, the chapel is open to visitors daily.
Founded over 200 years ago, with an early history ministering to a rural and fishing community, the Victorian chapel has now become a place where locals and visitors alike seek peace and hope. It is a place for restful meditation where you will also find facilities to make a cup of tea.
We offer a warm welcome to our weekly worship along with friendly celebratory services and events.
Our weekly worship usually takes place at 6pm on Sundays (4pm from December – February) and includes communion monthly. We have set up a running exhibition of our history from local sources and hope this will develop further. Our mission uniquely seeks to engage visitors with our wonderful village and coastline, so we welcome imaginative use of our facilities for healing, retreats, arts, crafts and musical functions.
In term time we are closed to the public on Mondays from 9am-4pm. The chapel is open at most other times during the day and we hope you will find it a place of blessing and peace. Please help yourself to tea and coffee.

Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen.
