Who we are
Welcome
Light Community Church is a contemporary Pentecostal church, we believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, our manual for faith, practice and life; that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and that the Holy Spirit wants to work in and through our lives today. People of all ages and from all walks of life make up the church. We endeavour to be welcoming and friendly as well as provide a safe environment for all with a focus on family and community.
Light Community Church is affiliated with the Australian Christian Churches (formerly the Assemblies of God in Australia). The church, as Kapunda Assembly of God commenced in September, 1989 with a few families meeting together as a home church. As the church continued to grow in 1995 by God’s amazing provision we were able to purchase the former Kapunda Recreation Centre which is prominently located in the Main Street of the town. Luke 1:37 – For nothing is impossible with God.
In 2009 the church was renamed Light Community Church to reflect Jesus is the Light of the world – John 8:12 and our commitment to being involved in our community.
As a church we offer a variety of opportunities for worship, prayer, Bible study and fellowship. Our Sunday service is at 10am and includes music and worship, offering, communion, Biblical preaching/teaching, we also offer crèche (when needed), children’s church, tea and coffee after the service; regular visiting ministry and fellowship meals.

As a church we stand as a witness for the Lord Jesus Christ, so that people can be brought into a personal relationship with Him, and grow in fulfilling God’s plan and purpose in every area of life.
