Milton Baptist Church, Acton Bridge, Cheshire History
The church began in a cottage in Norley, Cheshire. A church was built in 1865 in Onston, Cheshire. 460 persons sat for tea at the laying of the foundation stone in 1864. In 1899 the church moved to a new and still current site in Acton Bridge Cheshire because there was not sufficient room in the Sunday School for seventy-six children. Sixty-eight had previously been accommodated. 300 persons sat down for tea at the opening of this new church.
